Let It Snow...Let It Snow...Let It Snow

I woke up this morning to howling winds outside. The wood stoves had burned down to just a few coals left in the bottom of each. This means that JD and I slept well last night which is unusual for me. I am usually up and down all night thanks to the fibromyalgia. Well after listening to that wind blowing, it didn't take long for me to get those wood stoves stocked and a fire burning in each of them.

While I was working on that, the coffee was brewing. Can't get the morning off to a really good start without a cup of coffee.

I have been sitting here at the computer trying to think of something interesting or perhaps inspiring to post on my blog for today. I keep coming up blank. I went looking for graphics that might spark my creativity...... All I managed to do with that was enjoy the graphics I was looking at. No sparks of creativity there. Hmmmm... Do you think I could have writer's block?

There is a window in front of the computer and as it started getting daylight outside I could see that it has been and still is snowing. My response to that is 'Let it snow...Let it snow...Let it snow'. The snow is an indication that it has warmed up a little bit from the single digit temperatures we have had the past few nights. I know that temperatures that low is needed to keep the insect population down when the warm weather gets here, but it doesn't take many days of those low temperatures and I am ready for wee bit of a warm up.

JD is working on a post for his blog JD's Soapbox, that shows the progress we have made with our 'Little Home on the Mountain'. He will probably have it posted in a few hours. Please stop by and visit our home. When he talks about all that has been done to this house and property he always give me equal credit. I will be the first to tell you that I have done some, but the majority of the work has come from JD. The man is amazing. Does it sound like I am bragging on him? Well, I am!

Now I am going to finish this post up for the day and give JD a turn at the computer. Have a Great Day everyone and stay warm.

Hello Jo and JD... I saw JD's blog via a comment that he had left on my friend's blog. I have enjoyed reading both of yours... sounds like we have similiar life styles... you are invited to take a look at my blog and with JD being a carpenter, thought he might appreciate the "project" that my hubby has going right now.....best wishes

hi! Man, i hear ya (and feel ya) on that up and down all night thing--since being on my cpap machine for the sleep apnea, i'm doing better on the sleeping thing, not up nearly as often (except when the dogs decide to go look for cats and squirrels in the backyard at 2 a.m.)-- hopefully someday that will perk me up!

As you know, I woke up to snow this morning too, but the old heater is not having to work as hard as it did as the temps are up there compared to what they've been.

I sometimes wonder what in the world I'm gonna post now...lol...tomorrow should be easy for ya.
*wink*

I went over to J.D.'s blog and admired his handywork. I know just how much work ya'll have probably done as we did the same for a house that we had in Ky. I had my doubts about saving it but the guy that assessed it for us said he had seen sicker dogs than that get well, so we went ahead. We enjoyed it for about 10 years till we had to move on...sigh...

Have a great day!

I could almost become envious, because I love it when the snow falls. ;-) Not so in Vienna, we had almost springlike temperatures in the fifties up to today. Now they are hovering just above the freezing point, with no snow in the forecast.
I enjoyed reading the story about your resident blue bird! :)))
I do miss quite a few of the birds that used to live around our home in Washington, bluebirds among them, then the cardinals, the Carolina wren, the large woodpeckers.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog!

We don't always need to come up with great writing or great inspiration, at least I don't think so. That would make bogging, into a 'job.' :-)

And I happen to love the illustration you found! And thank you for sharing it.

Good attitude with the 'Let it snow...Let it snow...Let it snow' too. 'Cause, it's gonna' anyway. Each of our todays are going to be what they are. And we might as well find something to like about them. :-)
