I just wanted to share a few photos of the winter wonderland we have going on in our yard right now.
When we first moved here the winding path from the parking area to the house was made of wood chips. It was very pretty as long as it was dry. However with rain it washed out and piled up on the front porch. With snow and ice it was slick and not too safe. We ended up replacing it with stones....... Just as pretty and a whole lot safer.
An up close look at this one doesn't show any sign what-so-ever of yellow.
I am thinking it will be a while before we have any buds in our yard. Oh well..... No problem, George made it up the mountain yesterday and we are all hooked up with high speed. So that should keep us entertained for a little while.
Have a wonderful blessed weekend.... ~Jo

The snow looks so pretty. I'm glad you were finally able to get your high-speed hooked up. Now we'll expect a lot more posts and pictures from you!
Hi Jo,
Looks like you got that high speed connection just in time what with all that snow on the mountain! It sure is beautiful! We've had about 2 inches one time this winter and that's it! So many bloggers out there are saying how sick they are of snow! As for me, I'd love to be hibernating with you on your mountain! Looks like a little piece of heaven to me! :o)
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
Hugs,
Hope
Woohoo, great to hear that you finally got hooked up to high speed...I'm sure you're already loving it! lol Such gorgeous pictures, I love it when the tree branches are frosted like that. Stay safe and be warm!! xox
So very beautiful and peaceful looking!
Oh, those branches are so beautiful!!
Jo, I'm back again!! I came over to tell you that I have tagged you for a meme on my blog. If you've never played, come on over and check it out. If you have and don't want to participate again, that's okay too!!
Hugs,
Hope
The snow photos are beautiful! I can't imagine how cold that would be. Is forsythia a flower?
I especially like the third and fifth photos. The third looks beautifuly undisturbed. Serene and pure. The angle is excellent, as if seen by an animal collecting seeds or nuts.
The fifth one is astounding. I love close ups and macro photography. This plant looks almost like a cell or a molecule the way you have taken it. Its perfect.
Every thought about joining Deviant Art? You would go down a treat there!
Cheers!
