THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA
Yes, honestly its true!
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.
It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.
I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.
In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'
So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Copy,''Scan' and 'Paste' her
And send her back to me.
This is a tribute to all the Grandmas who have been fearless and . . . .
learned to use the Computer.....
They are the greatest!!!
When the television is on I pretty much mentally tune out most of the commercials that come on. I do this mainly because if they aren't just plain annoying, then they are insulting my intellegence by using 20 something year old actresses to try and sell the public on some sort of facial cream that will return that youthful look to your face. There are some commercials that I find beneficial though. Recently they have been advertising a new diabetic medication called Januvia. They gave a web site as well as a phone number to call to get further information. I went to the Januvia web site and was impressed with what I read. They have quite a few useful tools that you might like to try out, as well as a lot of good recipes. I have an appointment for Diabetic Boot Camp on Friday, so I thought I might discuss this new drug with Dr. Lee and see what she thinks. I'll let you know what I find out.
May your day be filled with blessings. ~Jo

Lol love that poem...since I'm going to be a grandma in October, I'll save this:-) I, too, think it's wonderful that there are so many seniors out there who use a computer..I wish I could talk my mom into getting one but she doesn't care too much for modern technology...her answering machine even scares her! hehe xox
Jo,I like the poem.I hope you and J.D. have a great weekend, and spend a moment of prayer for our service people, alive and gone for it is their weekend.
Hello !
I love the poem,I have talked a cousin of mine who was 86 at the time into getting a computer he just loves it now na he finds it gives him a great deal of freedom without leaving the security of his home.
Thank you for dropping by my little blog, I am still new at it but i am enjoying it very much I love the interaction with everyone.
The eggs you see aren't painted, they are done with special dyes and wax, you go from the lightest color in your design and cover it with bees wax then you do your next color like wise, let's say yellow to orange etc..its very time consuming, each egg can take 8-12 hours depending on how intricate the design is.
You do have to have very steady hands to do it, my daughter is better than I am,but she was an est. for a long time using her hands.
I enjoyed your blog and I will visit every day!

Thank you, Jo, for sharing this site for diabetics with me. I'll check it out as my hubby is a bad diabetic. Have you passed this on to Hope? I will send it to her just in case you haven't.
Funny poem about grandma and the computer. She may be around here somewhere. I'll keep an eye out for her.
You're right. These twenty something models selling wrinkle creme are just asking for the "mute" button.
I will check out the Januvia web site. There may be something that will benefit my Mom.
