A Tisket, A Tasket.....

There was an old gal
with a house and a view,
She had so many baskets
She didn't know what to do

Fat ones, long ones,
Short and tall,
Feather, bustle, egg....
She had them all.

She shelved them, hung them
And filled them with flowers.
She used them, admired them,
studied them for hours.

When buying another basket,
filled her with guilt,
She said, "You know what?
I think I need a new quilt!"

Happy Birthday Melody!!

You have been a part of our lives for so long that it seems as though you have always been here. In fact you seem more like a daughter than a daughter-in-law. When God created families, I am pretty sure that the relationship we share is what he had in mind. Everything just sort of fell into place for us, didn't it. The loving wife and mother that you are, only brings us closer to you. It is a comfort to know that Chris and our grand children are well taken care of. You don't take any shortcuts when it comes to your little family. Dinner doesn't come out of a box and the laundry is done to perfection. What ever the children are involved with you pack up and and make time to be there to support them. You are just amazing kiddo.......

Have a Great Day Sweetheart and know that we consider ourselves very fortunate that you are a part of our lives.

Jo,

What a lovely compliment to your daughter in law, her reply also says a great deal about you too. May you always have that 'give and take' attitude which oils the wheels of all families.

Hugs Kate x.

P.S. It's such a great pity that more relationships between DIL and MIL don't seem to gel as well. I still miss my MIL - even after 30yrs.

Sending a Happy Birthday to Mel... Jo, that was so sweet what you said about your daughter in law... My son has gone with his girl for over 18 years, he is 36, and she just turned 35 today, they have my darling little granddaughter who will be 1 the 24th, they talk about marriage, but still haven't tied the knot...I wish they would because I don't know what to call her...I know by name, but I wish I could just say my daughter in law....

This is the trouble with me reading blogs, I always have to comment, and then I seem to rattle on....LOL....catch ya later, and pray for sunshine.... judy
