Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

~ Robert Frost

Should we ponder how many miles we have yet to go or just continue our journeys without giving thought to it regardless of how emotionally and physically tired we are?

May your journey be blessed!

I think we should always stop and ponder the beauty, reflect on our live a bit and move on.
I think this is what Frost was saying. Beauty gives us hope. Reflection gives us perspective and moving on gives us direction.
This is an amazing poem. I have always loved it.

No you don't think about the miles ahead in your journey, just do it one day at a time and you will get through it.Thanks for coming by.
