In Memory

In Memory of

Jacquelin " Jackie" Blackstock Sellers
September 13, 1944 ~ January 8, 2010

The death of a loved one is never easy for those left behind to mourn their passing. No matter how many deaths touch your life there is just no way to prepare for that loss. When Jackie and I met we became friends right away. Over the years our friendship only grew stronger in spite of the occasional bumpy road and disagreements. Jackie truly became the sister that God overlooked giving to me. I am blessed that she was a part of my life. Her favorite flower was roses and I can see her now caring for God's rose gardens and waiting for us to join her when our journey here is through.

"With every friend I love who has been taken into the brown bosom of the earth a part of me has been buried there; but their contribution to my being of happiness, strength and understanding remains to sustain me in an altered world."
~Helen Keller

Dear Jo, I'm so sorry about this. Death is always with us and it's the way of all things.
This friend of yours was born a few months before I was. That always gives me pause for thought and makes me think about life and death being so close...,friends really.
I hope that you are all right. I'm sure that she is....
