As Promised.....

As promised I have put together a slide show of T~Bear's classes Cinco de Mayo program Friday. I am so glad that I am able to attend the activities that my grandchildren are involved in. These children really worked hard to put together such an entertaining show. They even did the 'Mexican Hat Dance' for us. Seth was his usual well behaved self. He took part in the program too, I'm not real sure if he was singing our talking, but I do know he was heard...lol



Lani from 'The Wooden Porch' awarded me 'The Perfect Post Award' for my April 28th Meaningful Monday post. I thank you Lani for the honor of receiving this award. Far more children grow up in abusive homes then we are aware of. I was one of those children and it is my belief that as long as we are quiet it will go on. We all need to step up and let it be known that we will not stand for this any longer. For too long the innocent has been the ones to feel guilty and not say anything for the very reason that they have been taught that if there is any quilt laying around they need to pick it up and claim it as their own. I think it is time to start placing the quilt where it belongs....squarely on the shoulders of the abusers.

I have acquired what ever sort of illness that JD had all last week. I am here to tell you it is no picnic. With that said, I am going to click on 'Publish Post' and go lay down for a few days or how ever long it takes to get over this. Until I am posting again I am wishing you sunshine and flowers.

Good News Comes On Angel's Wings

I have some good news to share with you. Amy called last night and again this morning. To begin with, other than the day that Dominic squeezed his mama's hand, he has pretty much just laid there. I am not sure of what day it was, but Amy said a woman came (No one knows who she was) and told the family that she was directed to pray over this child and asked for permission from the family to do so. Of course they allowed this, who is going to turn away prayer, although I am sure there are those that would. Before she started her prayer she asked if anyone would object to her praying in tongues. Again the family did not object. Amy said she was so quiet that you could barely hear her and when she was finished she said nothing to anyone there, she just left. Within hours of this unknown woman praying over Dominic things started to change. He has repeatedly squirmed and tried to push away the nurses when they have tried to attend him. He has reached out his arms to his mama. He has opened his eyes and responded to the light by squinting his eyes. The fact that he is doing these things repeatedly is good. Then today, the crucial hour was 3 P.M. That is when the test results on his brain would be back. The tests showed that the swelling has gone down. I attribute his progress to all the prayers that have gone up in Dominic's name and I truly believe that the unknown lady that came to the hospital to pray over Dominic was a guardian angel. Bless each and every one of you for the your gifts of prayer for Dominic. He still has miles to go and will continue to need your prayers to see him safely home.

Friday Update On Dominic

I talked with Amy today and the news wasn't good. Although Dominic is only depending on the respirator for 25% of his breathing (that is what was meant about the # 30 yesterday) his little brain is starting to swell. Which leads me to think that he must have hit his head on the edge of the pool before falling into the water. Please continue sending those prayers up for this baby. It truly breaks my heart to think of what he is going through, as well as what the family is dealing with.

Today was Seth Day and since J.D. is still not feeling up to parr, I went in alone. T~Bear's school had their Cinco de Mayo program this morning. Tersie took the morning off from work so she could go to the program. She was such a God send to me, being there to help me with Seth. I don't realize the toll that the fibromyalgia and arthritis has taken on me until I try to deal with the little ones by myself. I am exhausted, so I am going to go lay down a while and rest. I just wanted to update you on Dominic's condition. I will post on T~Bear's program tomorrow.

Update On Dominic

I had a phone call from Amy a little bit ago. They have been able to turn the respirator down to 30. I am taking that as a good thing, since I have no medical background, I just don't know. The doctors has told the family that Dominic did suffer brain damage. They just can't tell at this time to what extent. He is awake and although he hasn't spoken and doesn't show any recognition of anyone, he will hold onto and squeeze his Mama's hand when he is told to squeeze it. Little Dominic's future is all in God's hands at this point, as the doctors can do no more for him. Please keep those prayers going up for this innocent little guy that God will place his healing hands on him and restore him as best he can be restored.

As I learn more I will post it here.

Prayer Request

I have a prayer request this morning. I believe I have mentioned our Amy in another post. She went to school with Chris. She had an after school job at the same place where I was working. As was usually the case with a lot of Chris' friends, Amy adopted me as her "Mom" and has been a part of my life ever since. She is now living in north western Kentucky with her Significant Other, Frank. Yesterday we received a call from Amy with a prayer request for Frank's cousin, Kelly. She had to go someplace and asked her mother to babysit her boys. In one of those moments the two year old slipped away and went over, under or around two fences to get to the pool. Everyone searched the yard for the little guy and his brother found him floating in the pool. He was taken out of the pool and given CPR. When the paramedics arrived they found a heart beat, but they couldn't get him to breath. He was taken to the hospital in Evansville, Indiana. They have him on a respirator, but are only giving him a 15 % chance to survive. I ask that you taken a few moments today and send up a prayer that little Dominic will beat the odds and survive..........

The poor baby is needing all of the prayers that he can get. I will update as I hear anything.
