A young couple moved into a new neighborhood.The first morning, while they were eating breakfast, the young woman saw the neighbor hanging up the wash outside.
"That laundry is not very clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs another laundry soap."
The husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang out the wash, the young woman would make the same comment.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, "Look! she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"
Her husband said, "I got up early this morning and washed the windows."
And so it is with life: What we see while watching others, depends on the purity of the window through which we look. Things aren't what they appear to be.
I just had to share this little parable with all of you. It sure does speak volumes, doesn't it! As I read it, I thought about the campaigning that is going on. For the most part I try to keep my politics to myself. I guess because I hate to offend any one. I have to say this though, I will be one of many that will celebrate the end of the up coming election. I watched all of the debates and with every one of them ended up angry and upset because one candidate repeatedly answered questions asked of him with accusations and digs about the other candidate. If he answered any of the questions with a straight forward ....... "This is my plans if I am elected _____" then I missed it because I was still fuming over his last dance around the question with yet another slam of his opponent.
With that said, I will close this topic before I really get started on it. I will be posting again on a fairly regular basis. My blood sugar numbers are starting to come back down into a reasonable range which means that I am feeling some what better. I hope all is well with everyone. I will be around for a visit soon.
